BANDY Woodworks

BANDY Woodworks Handmade Toys and Custom Furniture Because of the nature and inherent beauty of salvaged trees, every piece we make whether large or small is unique. Mr.

BANDY Woodworks is a local business that designs and crafts custom furniture, children's toys, and items for the home out of salvaged wood and specializes in natural, non-toxic finishes. All of our work is guaranteed forever. Our studio is located in a Homewood space we share with artists of many disciplines. In the long term, we hope to create a process through which urban trees of every size and

shape can be milled into lumber and given another life instead of ending up as a pile of mulch. If you would like to meet in person, call to make an appointment at the studio or meet us every Saturday morning at the East Liberty Farmers Market Cooperative, 344 North Sheridan Avenue,Pittsburgh, PA 15206. Their website is here: http://www.farmersmarketcooperativeofeastliberty.com/. Christopher Bandy, owner of BANDY Woodworks, has been working salvaged wood for 15 years using a combination of hand tools and machines. A photographic portfolio can be found on our website, bandywoodworks.com in addition to the photos on our page. Bandy lives with his family in Point Breeze and is very pleased to support many other local businesses in pursuit of his craft.

Posting to say I see some of you speaking out on social media who have remained silent before. I see you and appreciate the voice you’ve added to combat the rapid descent of our country into fascism. The people you know who support what’s happening need to see you are against it. Thank you. And here’s a set of cabinets I installed last week.

Joining these five pieces together has been a satisfying challenge as a woodworker. Uprights with the curved ends are salvaged from an old handrail. They are all different diameters and have a different turn radius. Today I fit the top rail, and seeing it slide into place was a relief!
