According to Lawrence Yun, Chief Economist of the National Association of Realtors, the housing market "clearly turned around" this year, and the uptrend is expected through 2014.

The housing market recovery should continue through the coming years, assuming there are no further limitations on the availability of mortgage credit or a “fiscal cliff,” according to forecast presentations at a residential forum here at the 2012 Realtors Conference and Expo.

Good economic news: the list of U.S. housing markets showing consistent improvement has grown to 125, up 22 markets this month.

The number of U.S. housing markets showing consistent improvement in three key measures of strength expanded by 22 in November to a total of 125, according to the National Association of Home Builders/First American Improving Markets Index (IMI), released recently.
