Custom Furniture Designed and Built for You

The name "Southern Yella" comes from "southern yellow pine". We have several different species of pine trees in eastern NC that include: Longleaf, Loblolly, Shortleaf, Slash, and Pond. I would say that 95% of our pieces are built from southern yellow pine hence the name "Southern Yella"
To us, pine lumber is easy to work with and has very uniq

ue characteristics. From the grain of the wood, and the sound knots, and lets not forget the color of that heart. All of our lumber that we build with comes straight from the saw mill. By doing this, we can pass on the savings to our customers. We take pride in designing and building pieces of furniture for our customers and we work hard to meet or or exceed their expectations.
