Today we remember the victims of the Halabja chemical attack of March 16, 1988. On this day, thousands of innocent Kurdish civilians lost their lives when chemical weapons were used against the city of Halabja.

We honor their memory and stand in solidarity with the survivors and families who continue to carry the pain of this tragedy. May we never forget Halabja, and may remembrance strengthen our commitment to justice, dignity, and peace for the Kurdish people.

It is with great sadness that a member of our community here Kak Ghareeb Mahmoud from Slemani has passed away. We pray that his soul be blessed and send our condolences to the family during this difficult time.

A funeral service will be held at the United Islamic Center of Arizona UICA, Saturday, 11/01 from 4:00-7:00 PM
