We’re not a cabinet shop. But dang, check out this cabinet. 🔥

Here’s a behind-the-scenes peek at this custom credenza coming together in the shop, complete with a waterfall detail, countertop, and elegant shelving.

Not your average cabinet-credenza, because we don’t do average (just sayin).

The wood is stunning. The finished piece is even better.

And the craftsmanship? Ah-mazing. Alfonso and Phil killed it, as always.

We’ve been keeping something pretty fun under wraps…

A collaboration with Mad Charcoal on their new gallery in Old Town Scottsdale, where you’ll find a collection of Ironwood Mills pieces alongside their own work.

The doors just opened to the public, so Scott and I stopped in before my birthday dinner at Hai Noon to see everything coming together.

We’ll be sharing a lot more as we get closer to the official launch in November. For now, a little peek around the gallery. 🖤

Most days, Scott and I are running in completely different directions, so the fact that we’re actually sitting at a computer together here is already a little unusual. 🤔

But this is us.

An idea starts somewhere. We talk it through. Then we head out to the shop, look at the wood, talk some more, change our minds, figure something out, and then Scott gets to work.

In this case, a big eucalyptus slab, a lot of sanding, grinding steel and welding…and an idea slowly becoming a real thing.

It’s not always a perfectly mapped-out process. And there are usually a few twists and turns along the way.

But we’ve been creating things together for a long time now, and there’s still something pretty cool about watching an idea we’ve talked about come to life right in front of us.

That part never gets old.

Most people shop for furniture after they’ve designed the house.

The smartest clients reserve the wood first.

These eucalyptus, mesquite, and silk oak slabs just came out of the kiln and are officially available for custom dining tables, islands, conference tables, vanities, and architectural features.

Six months from now, many of these slabs will be living in someone’s home.

The question is: whose?

New batch of olive just landed 🌿

Medium size slabs with wild grain, movement, and just enough attitude…
apparently matching mine in these photos 😐

It’s one thing to build a door… and another to hang it.

This project has been a fun one. We used three different locally sourced woods( mango, eucalyptus, and pecan for the jamb) then stained it black. Not the direction we expected, but it was our client’s vision, and it turned out to be a home-run.
