Some people ask how I do it all but I want to clarify the Boho Barn Boutique is definitely not just the āPennyā show. Yes, I do work my butt off to make it happen but there are so many people who contribute, and if I didnāt have them it would not have gotten off the ground in the first place. My sister Dorie has flown here from Virginia for the first two events, spending days of her time and energy to make sure everything is in place in time for the events. Her whole family helped paint the shop red 2 years ago, my brother-in-law David volunteered a week of his time, including overseeing checkout for the first event and my nephew Jesse came out in June to help get our property cleaned up. My sister Colette helps with design and staging ideas and always has high quality items to add to the mix, my momās best friend Mary helped with checkout for the event in June. My mom Dot finds vintage furniture and pieces for me to restore or put in the sale. My sister Julie has had tea and cute seed packets for sale. My sister-in-law Krystal has contributed quilted greeting cards for zero profit and has cheered me on. My friend Colleen spent time with my kids and offered her time and talent to capture great photos of the event. This doesnāt even include vendors, other family members and countless friends who have supported and encouraged me in this journey. The Boho Barn Boutique is most definitely a labor of love. For the love of creativity, community and giving to Hopeās Promise orphan care. Iām so grateful to see this vision coming to life one day at a time! I couldnāt do it without you all.
