Today I wanted to give you a little behind-the-scenes look at how we present designs to our clients.

Instead of just looking at a flat drawing, our customers receive an interactive 3D link where they can step inside the space and explore the design. You can open cabinet doors, look inside drawers, and see how everything functions before the project is ever built.

Cabinet hardware placement may seem like a small detail—but it makes a BIG visual impact 👀✨

Here are a few tried-and-true guidelines we use when designing kitchens:

🔹 Upper Cabinets
• Slightly above the rail – classic and timeless
• In line with the rail – clean and tailored
• Lower third of the door – more modern and elongates the cabinet

🔹 Drawers
• One large pull on wide drawers for balance
• Double pulls on wide, heavy drawers (especially pot & pan storage)
• Upper rail placement keeps things feeling cohesive
• Centered pulls work best for smaller drawers

👉 The “right” placement depends on your cabinet style, door size, and overall design goals. This is why details matter just as much as materials.

I spent the morning helping a client sort through stain colors, wood tones, and the inspiration photos she loves most. Before we ever talk layouts or hardware, we focus on feeling—the mood she wants her kitchen to give the moment she walks in.

There’s a lot of psychology in kitchen design… how color, texture, and materials create comfort, confidence, and a space that truly feels like home.
