As I am sending off the fourth kneeler in the life of Wood By Giuseppe on Friday, I thought I would catch up with a post about the third kneeler birthed in my woodshop. It departed the garage last month and found its home with local legend, J.D. Dalfonso, and his family. He and his boys have enjoyed the nightly rosary on it many-a-night since. It was cool that JD desired to pay some homage to our local future-Saint (one hopes), Fulton Sheen, by dropping a quote from him on the crossbar. I will post some footage of that kneeler later down the road. May it wind up with his great great great grandson many ages from now: blessing that family line, sustaining their daily grind, and aiding their holy climb (sorry...I'm given to rhyme)

Nothing seems more fitting on the Feast of St. Joseph the Worker than getting after another kneeler for Wood by Giuseppe. This one is for a Wedding in early June! The sanding/evening out of the sides is hands down the toughest part of every job. Finally tackled it and now it's off to the races! As I grind the highs down to meet the low spots it reminds me of the coming of the Messiah. Every valley shall be raised and every hill made low at his coming! Maranatha!

A blessing reconnecting with my friend, Jacob. I'm grateful for his business, as well as his aspiring towards the higher things: Intimacy with Christ and fortifying his role as husband and father. May his domestic Church be blessed, and may this Wood by Giuseppe kneeler pass down through his family line until the Lord comes back.

20 years ago I made this gem in High School. It was my first build. This is what started my love for woodworking. A gumball machine with a Chicago Cubs vibe. I've come a long way since then with my 2 person kneelers! But I couldn't have arrived here without this ol' mascot. *Note* I always turn him sideways in the shop, as the eyes are a little too creepy looking :)
