This is Summer… she needs a home. Be g fostered in the Old Ocean area, but going to a rescue tomorrow unless a family is found that can take her in. Very sweet 3 year old Great Dane, with papers, that just has her first litter.

Being fostered because her owner lost her husband right before Beryl, then her house to Beryl. She couldn’t take her with her to her new place, and the foster family is helping her out as much as they can. She’s got a daughter 10-12 she’s trying to raise and nothing is going right in her life.

Asking for prayers. My love to everyone who reads this. Let's pray for each other today because prayers are needed right now. If I don't see your name, I'll understand. I ask my family and friends, wherever you might be, to kindly post this status for one hour to whisper a prayer for all of those who have family problems, health struggles, job issues, or worries of any kind and need to know that someone cares. Do it for all of us, for nobody is immune. I hope to see this on the walls of my family and friends just for moral support. I did it for someone else, and you can, too!

Pretty much a massive disaster hit TX and OK. Not going to lie, it wasnt easy for a lot of folks. Our infrastructure and government response was not as ready as it should have been. Our power grid had vulnerabilities.

However, while fake news will make people believe that Texans were helpless.... this Texan saw a totally different narrative. I saw people helping one another, I saw generators, fuel, firewood being deployed by residents - not government. I saw people opening homes and businesses as shelters, pets and all.

You know what I didnt see?

Mass Looting.

Never doubt the resolve, generosity, and the preparedness of the Texas people. We overcome.

I should be painting something... but it's COLD outside, so I'm in the house, staying warm but trying not to use more than our share of electricity. However, I have lots of friends around here and in 'far off' places that are without power. Lately, my 'go to' weather guys have been the crew at Space City Weather. We finished this kitchen cabinet painting job for our sweet client before Christmas. She went from dark to light, and it's made such a difference! Have you ever had a Love-Hate relationship with a piece of furniture? This sweet, very, very OLD rocker has been my most recent L-H Child... but I'm totally in love now that she's back in her rightful place. Here's cheers to her hopefully lasting another 100 years! Made a porch sign a couple of months back for the Berreths... and now they are official! Such a beautiful wedding, Mrs. Berreth! Congratulations!

But wasn't it just a short time ago y'all were in junior high giggling during sleepovers and dreaming up your future? I guess dreams really do come true, just like in a Disney movie. 😉
