Due to the overwhelming response, we are no longer taking new inquiries for this situation while we carefully review families who have already reached out.

𝗜𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝗹𝗲𝗳𝘁 𝗮 𝗺𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗴𝗲, we are still working through those and we will get back to you. Thank you so much for your patience.

We have been deeply moved by the outpouring of love and interest for this baby girl! If additional outreach is needed in the future, we will share another update here. Thank you for your compassion for this little one and for supporting ethical adoption.

SEEKING AN ADOPTIVE FAMILY FOR A BABY GIRL
We are supporting an expectant couple who are creating an adoption plan for their baby girl, due late March–early April 2026. They are hoping to find an adoptive family who can provide her with the opportunities and support she’ll need to thrive.

The baby has had alcohol exposure throughout the pregnancy; however, the expectant mother is engaged in prenatal care and substance-use treatment through a specialized medical team focused on supporting both her and the baby. We are seeking a family who is prepared and committed to parenting a child with prenatal alcohol exposure.

Preferred families are:
• Home study ready
• Utah residents (out-of-state families may be considered)
• Open to a semi-open to open adoption
• Aligned with Christian and/or LDS values
• Experienced with, or knowledgeable about, adoption

The expectant parents have also expressed a strong preference for a two-parent, heterosexual, Caucasian family.

We had a meeting last night for this year's Orphan Care Conference, and I had to say…it’s going to be amazing!

If you have ever thought about adopting (domestic or overseas), or fostering, this day is for you!

If you’ve always wanted to “help” in some way but don’t feel led to foster or adopt, or you would like to know how to build a ministry at your church, this day is ALSO for YOU.

If you’ve already fostered or adopted, you guessed it…this day is for YOU!
(Also, continuing education credits will be abable for those of you who need them.)

I’ll be teaching, and would love to see you! And, you’ll get to hang out with some of the most amazing people you will ever have the privilege of meeting!

Also, please share! And if you are at a church that would be willing to advertise it in any way, please let me know.

This amazing mom (in the blue shirt), is standing next to another amazing mom, Amy, who fostered her infant son for a few months. As Amy said, "She knew that she needed to do whatever it took to be with her son. She showed up for every appointment, visit, and court hearing. She worked hard to be in a place where he could be moved in with her sooner. The entire team marveled at her progress and commitment to being a sober parent. Her love for him was evident from the very beginning".

It's easy to demonize people who's children end up in foster care and label them as, "bad parents who don't care", when in reality most of them dearly love their children. Often times they have no support from family or a community, so when "hard times" hit, there is no one to come along side of them for support...which we ALL need. No one can do this life alone!

When this momma was able to get her son back, the church that Amy is a part of, Lakeview Church, Tooele County Utah, was able to come around and support her. She moved into a small apartment and only had a crib, a Pack 'n Play, and an air mattress. So, Lakeview kicked into action and as Amy said, "We brought her a whole apartment"!

This is just one of the many ways churches in Utah are stepping into and serving within the space of child welfare. It reminds me of the verse from 1 John 3:18...."Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth".

Let us know if we can help your church to serve in a similar way!

Congratulations to Oasis Vineyard Church for answering the call to be a part of changing the lives of families and children who have been touched by the foster care system.

Oasis launched their first Care Community, coming around a single woman fostering her 3 year old niece and teenage nephew (not in pic). The family will get weekly meals, childcare (which the mom has never had), help with practical needs, support, love & prayers!

Half of all foster parents will quite within 1 year of foster because of lack of support and how difficult it is. But Promise686 has found that when a family has a Care Community, 90% of families will continue to foster after 1 year.

If you are not able to bring a child into your home, being a part of a Care Community is equally and important.

If you are interested in getting your church involved in this amazing ministry, let us know!

The Front Church, Neighborhood Church and Hope Church Utah, recently did a back to school clothing drive and donated 100’s of new clothes to help replenish our local Department of Child and Family Service’s resource room. Often times caseworkers will selflessly spend their own money (without getting reimbursed), to buy clothes and other items for children on their caseload. Having access to clothes on hand saves them both time and money…both of which they have little of. And, many of the kiddos who benefit from this will be receiving clothes with tags on them for the very first time!

Two and a half years ago I delivered a crib and some other needed items to a single woman who had her 6 month old niece placed with her. Often times deliveries are just a one time thing, and you make the most of whatever time you get with a family. However, other times they actually turn into lasting relationships! I continued to stay in touch with this foster mom/aunt…helping with diapers, some other furniture items, etc. I also check in with her often just to see how she’s doing. She just sent me this little invite to her niece’s b-day party. I’ve actually been to quite a few birthday parties for kiddos of families we have served, and I have to say, it’s ALWAYS an honor to receive these invites, and get to be even just a small part of someone’s story!
We also have a new church that’s starting Care Communities, and their first one is going to be coming around this little family!

I’m constantly reminded that being involved in the child welfare space is all about relationships…which is probably why it's often times very “messy”...but beauty can always be found amongst the mess! I honestly feel sad for people who don’t get to experience the privilege of walking along side of foster families. If you would ever want to be a part of the beautiful mess, or want to get your church involved, just let me know!

Huge thank you to K2 The Church, The Rock Church & Church of the Valley who, TOGETHER, donated 8 new pack-n-plays, as well as new clothes for 10 kiddos, to the Department of Child & Family Services in Salt Lake City!

The Pack-n-Plays are invaluable to have handy in their office so case workers can just grab one on the way to a removal of a small child. And of course clothes are alway essential as many kids leave their home with only the clothes on their back. I received this message from Sarah at DCFS:

"Please send our appreciation for the donation! We were completely out of the sizes that were donated, and I'll be able to fill requests for some kiddos that have those sizes!"
