Ford County Emergency Management would like to take a second and thank all of our volunteers and contacts for all their hard work in this storm, and every other one for that matter. Whether it be watching and preparing for weather, training and training others, or just simply being there to listen and help our community, we appreciate you all so so much!
It’s easy to forget with their skill that these are every day people giving up their time, often on almost no notice, to help out the county they love. They have families, careers, responsibilities, and often their own storm damage, and yet they put that on hold for the greater good. They are advocates, coaches, paramedics, activity directors, contractors, consultants, farmers, drivers, nurses, postmen, educators, fire professionals; fire, medical, military, corporate, blue collar; sons and daughters, parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles; owners of all the bald, scaled, feathered and fur friends.. they are the most valuable resource this county has to offer, people!
We’re here for you Ford County, but we could never be even close to that goal without each and every one of our amazing individual volunteers collectively coming together to choose their neighbors above themselves.
So to our team, please know that today and always, we are so appreciative and proud of you all!!
