Denise reached out to me wanting her Grandparents dining table and chairs refinished. Doing a remodel in their home she wanted these to be used in there. After cleaning and sanding everything the color of the 3 extension leafs ended up not the same as the table. The table and leafs were factory sprayed a reddish toner to make them blend with the table. The table was a beautiful surprise of being a Gorgeous Walnut wood. The grain is just spectacular 😘. No stain was added back to the table. I did need to stain the leafs to match the table as best as I could. Everything was topcoated in Satin Polyurethane. Chairs will be next.
Another heirloom piece brought back to beautiful and to be used! So Stunning! ❤️

Kathy also brought an old sewing machine cabinet she uses as a bedside table to be refinished. It had some failing finish and chipped & missing veener. I did some reinforcement on areas of the bottom where the wheels are located. Glued veneer and replaced in certain areas. One wheel was missing so I added one from my stash. Kathy decided to use the same stain color “Early American “ and the same topcoat polyurethane in Satin.
Such a neat unique use of an old sewing cabinet,perfect height!

My latest piece is a side table that Kathy brought to me to have refinished. This table they enjoy using as their coffee table. Just the right height and size for them, however it had a couple scratches and the finish had seen better days.
The apron needed glued in some areas. After the typical prep work was done stainless in the color “Early American “ was used and sealed with polyurethane in Satin.

Shelly wanted this old cabinet brought back to a wood finish. It had been painted green and also a redish brown color. Stripping sanding and cleaning was done. Reinforcing was done to help with it‘s stability. Details of it’s age such as holes, gouges & deep scratches were left for its character to show.
Golden Oak was her choice of stain,however when it ended up looking to orange for her. So, I did a paint wash then added a glaze over it. A satin topcoat was added next. The hardware was painted black then I rubbed an antique gold color on top for depth and color.

🐝 This old,huge and heavy cabinet was brought to me from Angela. It was her grandmother‘s and she shared with me her fond memories of it being on her grandmother’s porch. She wanted it to be refinished for her home now. A few things had been started on it before I received it.
She decided on having both wood and paint for the finished piece. Stripping,sanding,priming,painting & a couple repairs were done. The color “Swiss Coffee” for the body and “Gray Green Linen” for the inside. The stain color “Early American“ with a satin topcoat. A very light distressing was done to the body. The drawers were fresher up with furniture salve(orange scent 👃🏻🍊). The hardware was cleaned up and reapplied. She already knows where it will be placed in her home 🙂
