Nathaniel Brawley Hill, is the designer and creator of Brawley Made Furniture in Downtown Los Angeles. With deep ties to New England and its many vernacular styles of furniture and architecture, he has spent the last fifteen years building custom furniture and homes, timber framing, and working in historic preservation. He studied American History at Hampshire College, and then continued his educa

tion at the North Bennett Street School in Boston where he completed their Preservation Carpentry program. Over the years, he has had the opportunity to work with a wide array of traditional techniques, all of which he incorporates into more contemporary styles to create his distinctive modern American aesthetic. Now making Los Angeles his home, Nathaniel is focused on producing his original furniture designs, working on commissions of custom furniture, as well as creating select architectural millwork.

Happy to get a mention in Architectural Digest and for my involvement with and her project at this years . The design of this room draws inspiration from Beatrix Potter whom I love. Having grown up with her books I imagine I draw inspiration from her as well.



I put a lot of work into this room as well as building new furniture and lending some period Connecticut pieces. Some may recognize the little shaker chair. It was built to finish a set made for a friend that lost their house in the Eaton fire. The large potting table was also purpose built for this room. If you have a chance check out the Showcase House from now till May 18.

Between teaching and aerospace work with I have been working on a fun collaboration with building out a dining room in a beautiful glendale home. These pieces are primed in the shop but I leave the finish painting to the professionals. Corner banquette installed, 12’ hutch soon to go in and a dining table up next. It is going to be a fun one. Hope to get some photos when everything is painted.

We are extremely excited to finally be hosting a proper Grand Opening party! Opening at the start of a global pandemic had it’s challenges, but with all of your help we have been able to grow and continue providing classes and a space for everyone to come learn the art of woodworking! We are extremely grateful for each and every one of you that has made this possible. Come celebrate with us!! All ages welcome. We will be providing food and drinks, but feel free to bring your own.
