Hello Neighbors!

Here is a message from Penny...

A Board Meeting was held yesterday and the nomination committee provided 5 resumes for 3 positions. Therefore, the Board made a motion to increase the number of Board members from 5 to 7. The new Board of Directors listed in alphabetical order consists of:

Stan Bujnowski
Jaclyn Centofanti
Jeff Douglas
Gary Glenn
Joyce Jones
Larry Lehtonen
Dave Robertson

A meeting is going to be scheduled the 3rd or 4th week of April for the purposes of appointing the officer positions.

Hello Everyone! Looking forward to the Easter Party, later today, 3pm-5pm at the Clubhouse!

Just a few things....

We will have water and juice boxes, however, you may want to bring beverages, as well!

We will have tables and some chairs set up, but I also recommend bringing chairs, if you have any!

Come enjoy a social event with your neighbors!
Potluck, Easter Egg Hunt, Games/Activities, and Bounce House Fun!

- Headcount (Adults and Children)
- A dish you're bringing to share

Parents of children, please drop off 1 dozen filled eggs (per child) to hide for the Easter Egg hunt with Christina Moore at 151 N. Starling Drive, starting March 13th. You'll receive a ticket to participate in the Egg Hunt. Also include $5/child to cover the cost of bounce house rental. Please drop this off by March 28th.

If you'd like to volunteer to help set up or break down, it would be greatly appreciated--please let us know at the above email!

To all neighbors,

We are pleased to inform you that the GL HOA Security and Safety Committee (SSC) is now active. One of the first orders of business was to provide you all will a viable contact point in order to lodge comments in a more effective, proficient and professional manner. Up until now many have utilized Nextdoor and the GL HOA page for communication. The SSC is aware that not everyone has or wishes to have access to social media and are left without a viable point of contact.

As a result of the above the SSC has created an email address for residents to contact.
Most if not all of the public nowadays have access to internet. If you know of a neighbor who does not then please support them by offering to send any concerns they may have for them, clearly stating that you are doing this on their behalf.
A newsletter is also being considered together with a website but these two items will require input from the other three committees and their members.

As far as the SSC is concerned let me state what we are not.
We are not Law Enforcement Officers. Any concerns to life or property should be directed to the proper authorities. That being said the SSC will log all comments, complaints etc. that come in via the email account. Should Law Enforcement Officers be called by you, you may inform the SSC so we have a record.

The SSC members have agreed that neither collectively nor individually will they comment in their capacity as SSC members by any other means other than through the SSC email system.

We are aware several residents have commented on the gate being open. The SSC is aware of this and Tommy Draves (GL HOA Board President) has in fact already informed residents via the GL HOA page that the phone line connection within the call box is broken. This we are told will be repaired by January 9th. As a result of this the gate arm has to remain open due to accessibility for all emergency vehicles and residents. Currently, the HOA has no access to override this situation as it is not currently controlled by the HOA.

Members of the SSC respectfully ask for you to help us serve you as best we can. The first point is of course reliable, respectful and accurate communication. Please only utilize the above email for contacting the SSC from this point. The email will be monitored on a regular basis by SSC members for action or comment.

Good afternoon Grandlandings,

I reached out to Penny regarding the broken gate. The problem is a phone line connection issue in the call box. This will be repaired by January 9th. At this point we have to keep the gate arm open due to accessibility for all emergency vehicles and residents.

Good morning Grand Landings,

Today a yellow construction truck damaged the main left gate again... If someone saw a yellow pick-up truck with a mounted ladder and a toolbox installed to the truck let me know… Thank you to Bill and Martin for fixing the gate today… I will send an e-mail to the developer today. This is our money if you have any information, please communicate.
