Main Responsibilities:
-Acceptance of the log deliveries.
-Monitors and verifies the delivered wood quality.
-Deducts scale for quality unconforming deliveries.
-Monitors the inflow of logs to meet current specifications.
-Monitor log inventory
-Sort, prepare and inventory logs.

Job Qualifications:

-Must be able to walk around trucks for expertise of logs, handling controls of scale, communicating with co-workers, vision for quality assessment of logs
Must be dependable and show ability to take direction.
-Attention to detail.
-Ability to work outdoors in all temperatures, in loud, high-volume environment.
-Perform essential functions of job that includes walking, standing, climbing stairs, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Physical Demands:

-Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time; must be able to sit, stand, push/pull, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, or crawl occasionally
Frequent lifting/moving of items that may range in weight up to 50 pounds.
-Regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts.
-Exposed to hot, cold, wet or humid conditions.

Minimum Relevant Job Experience:

-Log scaling or log yard experience
Forestry background preferred.

We are seeking someone for a manual labor position. A qualifying candidate will need to be able to lift at least 50 pounds. Previous manual labor experience is a plus.
