Once planned as a restaurant, Mattie B's Just Ribs was conceived in 2012 by Terry Anderson. Not wanting to limit himself to a single location and desiring to share his food with the masses, Terry set out on a path towards a mobile BBQ business. He started in the kitchen at the age of 12 baking cakes for his church un
der the tutelage of his Grandmother Mattie Bell and Mother Brenda, with cooking becoming his passion. He continued to learn at an early age how to BBQ and has been for 30+ years. Terry served for over 29 years in the Air Force and made it his business to sample BBQ from all over the U.S. Now retired he has set out to deliver on his passion, the very best in smoked meat and southern style foods. He uses nothing but premium meats that are dry rubbed and smoked in a blend of sweet woods with a hint of oak, slow and low. They are then basted in BBQ sauce. The rub, wood blend and BBQ sauce are all his very own secret recipe. What you can expect when you taste his mouth watering St. Louis style ribs is an explosion of flavors that you can't pinpoint. They are fall off the bone tender and juicy! The briskets are moist and full of flavor with a delightful smoke ring. He also has hand pulled pork that is cooked from some of the prettiest pork butts that you will see. He also does Turkey Wings, Legs, Breast, Whole Chickens, Hot Links, and Smoked Jerk Chicken Wings in both mild and spicy. On any given week you can smell the woods smoking as they captivate your senses with a scent that is out of this world. We're proud to haven recognized as 2019 Smoke in Da Tow Champion, and 1st place Non-Traditional Cuban Sandwich at the 2021 Ford's 6th Annual Cuban Sandwich Festival.
