Space has always meant a little more to me. 🚀
My grandpappy had the opportunity to contribute to NASA during its infancy, so getting to be a “temporary astronaut” myself was pretty damn cool.
But the best part was being able to share it with my daughter—to show her the history, the engineering, and just how big we’re capable of dreaming.
A little family history, a little father-daughter time, and a whole lot of appreciation for the people who helped us reach the stars. 🇺🇸🚀

From drainage problems and a tired pool deck → clean, functional, and ready to enjoy. ☀️🌴

This backyard had two big issues: an aging, unattractive pool deck and drainage problems that were making the space even worse.

We removed and replaced the problem areas, corrected the drainage, and gave the entire pool deck a fresh new finish. The result is a brighter, cleaner backyard that not only looks better—it works better.

Sometimes a backyard transformation isn’t about adding more. It’s about fixing what’s wrong and doing it right.

This project is a powerful reminder of why experience and the right materials matter. The original version was constructed from wood, which unfortunately ignited overnight. Thankfully, the homeowner discovered it in time and was able to extinguish the flames before they spread. Selecting proper construction methods and fire-safe materials is essential—not only for durability, but for safety and peace of mind.

Some projects are memorable because of what we build. Others are memorable because of the people we meet.

This project was both.

We were hired to replace a deteriorated second-story deck and install a new piece of custom glass after one of the original panels was damaged. While the craftsmanship was rewarding, what made this project truly special was the opportunity to work with an incredible homeowner who has taken great pride in preserving this beautiful Mid-Century Modern home.

Homes like this aren't built every day. Every detail matters, and our goal was to restore the deck while respecting the home's original architecture and clean contemporary lines.
