We're known for fire tables, but what we really do is build outdoor spaces that last.

A fire table that's engineered to outlast coastal salt air and mountain snow doesn't make much sense sitting next to furniture you'll be replacing in a few years. So we applied the same philosophy to everything around it.

Custom outdoor furniture, planters, and beyond, all built from the same marine-grade steel and natural stone we put into every fire table. If you can dream it, we can build it.

This Oceanside project is not our usual. No stainless, no stone slabs, no clean geometric lines. This one pushed us somewhere different, and honestly, we love when that happens.

We tracked down this incredible travertine and then found a craftsman who could actually carve it into vessels.

Some spaces you walk into and immediately exhale.

This midtown terrace is one of them. The designers at Studio Formichella wanted something grounding, something that could anchor the whole space without competing with the life happening around it. So they built the whole layout around a custom stone fire feature.

That's exactly how we think about it too. The fire table isn't furniture. It's the reason everything else settles into place. Deep seating pulls in, lush landscaping wraps the edges, and suddenly a city terrace turns into a backyard you don't want to leave.

Game nights, long dinners, that last glass of wine when everyone should've gone home an hour ago. This is what we build for.

Fire does something to people.

The moment it's lit, conversation slows down, phones go away, and everyone just... pulls in closer. Kate and I grew up around fire: camping trips, backyard fires, the whole thing. It was always where the best moments happened.

That's really what got us here. Not just building something that burns well (though we obsess over that too), but building something that gives people a reason to gather. To sit down. To actually be together.

Fire is the only thing in a space that moves, gives off warmth, creates light, and pulls people in all at once. Nothing else does that.

We build with Grade 304 and Grade 316 stainless steel, the same grades used in marine and coastal construction. Grade 316 is literally what goes on boats. It sits in saltwater around the clock and doesn't rust. Not because of a coating or finish that wears off. Because of what the material is.

A lot of outdoor furniture looks great in a showroom. But put it on a coastal patio, somewhere with real weather, and the salt air, UV, and humidity start working on it fast. We've had plenty of clients come to us after going through that cycle once or twice. They wanted something they could put outside and not think about again.

That's what we build. We know exactly what goes into every table, and we back it with 50 years because of that.

We built Cooke around one belief: fire is the most important design element in any outdoor space. Fire is the only thing that creates warmth, light, movement, and connection all at once.

People don't just look at fire. They gather around it. Families pull their chairs a little closer. Conversations go longer than anyone planned. Kids roast marshmallows while the adults finally put their phones down. Neighbors show up and end up staying for hours. That's what fire does, and it's why we take it so seriously.

So we build fire tables that deserve to be the center of the space. Custom sizes, custom materials, natural stone, engineer-grade burners, all handcrafted in our Anaheim shop.

Things are starting to take shape at Palisades and we love to see the progress.

This week we delivered the planters and made real progress on both the BBQ table and the fire pit table. Seeing the pieces of this space come together, piece by piece, job by job, is something we don't have the right words for.

We're still waiting on a crane to get the planters fully set, but even in their temporary spots, you can start to feel what this outdoor space is going to become: the kind of place where a family exhales.

There's a lot that goes into building a custom fire table.

Stone selection, burner sizing, BTU output, flame pattern, thermal expansion, clearances. Then the aesthetic side: picking the right slab, the right veining, the right finish for the space.

We're a brother-sister team and we obsess over every part of it.
