DR. SOPHIA IN THE HOUSE!

It’s official, we make a name tag and everything. When stripping veneer make sure you have a doctor on hand to help with all your boo boos. I think I ended up with about 346 splinters.

The empire dresser was supposed to be my easy piece. I promised myself no sanding and no stripping and no staining! Well, she had other plans. I’ve never smelled anything quite like it. So it’s all getting stripped! Lucky me. The downside of getting something delivered and not getting to check it out first. Oh well. Here’s to a learning experience 🤷🏻‍♀️

“The best laid plans of mice and men often go awry.”

I gave Betti the day off today! We spent the day by the pool with family ☀️ Hope everyone had a great day!

It’s now movie time with the volume way up to drown out the sound of the fireworks. Remember to keep those doggies safe tonight! More dogs get out and lost today more than any other day. 🐾

Well in not the greatest news, I got rear ended last week. So there hasn’t been much furniture action going on, but there has been a lot of this. ☀️ We’ve been spending our days in the sunshine and I can’t complain. I’ll take pup cuddles by the pool anyday!

As soon as I can move the green chippy dresser I’ll be staging her and posting pics! But for today, we’ll be here ♥️

We sent our donation over to Orange County Pit Bull Rescue last week for the last 2 months. Go give them a follow! They have some gorgeous and special dogs available for adoption!

They do so much for the dogs, from rescuing, to sharing PPP (Paw-sitive Pittie Press), to their community outreach program “Home is where the pit is” which they created to help keep dogs in their homes with families who love them. It involves helping with anything from food to spay/neuter, vaccines etc, when a family reaches out to them.

Thank you Orange County Pit Bull Rescue for everything you do for the dogs! ♥️🐾

PS grandma Tara is still available for adoption!!! Don’t ask me how, those eyes go right to her soul 😍

Our Story

I’m Lindsey. More importantly this is Mia. She was my best friend, my soul mate and always my inspiration to be better and do better. This is her with the first piece of furniture I ever painted in 2015. She was always by my side and every time I paint I feel like she’s still here with me.

I’ve always been drawn to old and vintage things which started with collecting old love letters and eventually furniture. I like to think of my furniture as my love letter, bringing beauty and passion into the world and that special feeling of old times one piece at a time. The “and company” comes from all my inspirations throughout my life. From my grandma, who saw my creativity long before I did and helped spark it in me, to my dogs Little and Mia who made me a better person, my mom and family, our new love Betti ♥️who you’ll see in all the photos because she loves to get in the pics, and my 4 year old niece who said I should name my company Sparkalizer haha.

I’m passionate about saving dogs and painting furniture and I want my work to help dogs in need. 5% of all sales will be donated to a different rescue group each month, to help more dogs get out of the shelter and find their furever homes. I’ll also be featuring a dog of the month from that rescue that’s looking for a home! Hopefully together we can all help make a difference! ♥️
