I know it’s been a while, but in my continued quest to get control of my garage, I have finished these two matching end tables.

They are 25 inches tall, 20 inches wide, and 24 inches deep, so could also be used as nightstands. They are painted in fusion mineral paint in the color Cathedral Taupe, one of my new favorite shades.

All done, and ready for Little Miss to make her appearance into the world. Painted in Magnolia Homes “shiplap” and added paintable wallpaper to the drawers. The top is paintwashed in the same color and Fusion’s Cathedral Taupe to soften the wood look a little. The new k***s are from Hobby Lobby.

I was hoping I could be lazy with this super dark furniture that will eventually be painted in “Shiplap”, a Magnolia Homes off white. As I do with all of my furniture, I primed with Valspar’s “stain, blocking, bonding primer”.  Almost immediately when the paint touched the drawers, the bleedthrough began. Doesn’t mean this piece wont be blotch free, but it does mean that everything needs to be coated with two light coats of shellac.

I swear I will never learn. I should have just started with that process.
