There’s some damage to tackle, a finish that needs refreshing, and plenty of work ahead—but we already have a vision. ✨

This piece features four functional dovetail-jointed drawers—three spacious drawers on the left and one wide desk drawer—providing plenty of storage while maintaining a sleek profile. The drawers have also been finished with decorative patterned liners for an extra special detail inside.

From dated and dark to bright, modern, and ready for a whole new chapter. 🤍✨

A little paint, new hardware, and a lot of love gave this vintage desk a completely fresh look — while keeping just enough of that beautiful original wood to honor its character.

This one needed more than a coat of paint. 🤍

The desk had beautiful lines, but underneath that old finish were loose areas, damaged corners, and repairs that had to happen first. We rebuilt and reinforced what needed it, patched the damage, sanded everything smooth, and then came one of the most important steps: the right primer for the right job.

Bonding primer for adhesion + shellac-based primer to block stains and bleed-through. Because a pretty finish is only as good as the prep underneath it.

Then came fresh white paint, restored warm wood tones, new drawer liners, and brass hardware for the finishing touch. ✨

A lot happened between that before and after—and that’s the part of furniture flipping I love most.

The biggest mistake I see? People skip the cleaning step.

Before I sand a single surface, I remove years of grease, wax, furniture polish, and grime.

It may look clean, but looks can be deceiving.

If that buildup isn’t removed, it can:
• Bleed through your new finish
• Cause adhesion problems
• Create fish-eyes and other finish defects
• Turn hours of restoration into a frustrating do-over

A little dish soap, warm water, and some elbow grease can save you a lot of time later.

Clean first. Restore once.
