Boxcar Woody Furniture Co. is heading into a new chapter.
Born in Stockyards City, Oklahoma, Woody was built on grit, history, and a community that believed in what we do. We’re proud of the roots we planted there and grateful for the customers from around the world who found us and made this journey possible.
Now, Woody is partnering with We Live Cozy, a small business driven by a new generation that values craftsmanship, history, and purpose.
While our location may be changing, our mission remains the same: reclaiming American railroad materials and transforming them into heirloom furniture with a story to tell.
This partnership allows us to keep doing what we love while introducing Boxcar Woody to new customers, new spaces, and new possibilities. It’s a chance to build on everything that brought us here while staying true to what made Woody special in the first place.
The Woody story continues.
It’s just becoming a little more Cozy.

Well, Ryno got his beauty sleep.

Today, he’s showing off his other beauty... his big, beautiful pallet. 😏

This massive reclaimed boxcar top is officially wrapped up and secured to its pallet, ready for the next leg of its journey. Seeing a project of this scale go from rough reclaimed wood to a finished piece ready to ship never gets old.

Thank you for following along with this build and cheering our team on throughout the process. We love bringing you behind the scenes and showing what goes into every piece that leaves our shop.

Can you tell Ryno was just a little tired? 😴

This massive reclaimed boxcar top is still a work in progress, but we couldn’t resist sharing a sneak peek. Every pass of the sander reveals a little more of the character, history, and craftsmanship hidden beneath decades of use.

Unfortunately, Ryno’s energy gave out before the camera did, so enjoy a few photos of the process while he catches up on his beauty sleep.

Tomorrow we’ll pick up where we left off and show you this beast getting wrapped and ready for its journey home.

Did you know every scar, crack, and dent in our boxcar + cargo wood gets hand-filled with black putty?

It’s not just for looks. It stabilizes the old wood while making every mark from its past life stand out even more. Raul has the technique down to a science at this point. Every scar is worked by hand, one at a time, just like every piece that leaves our shop ⚒️
