There's a purpose behind every tuft.
On our traditional innerspring mattresses, our craftsmen use long tufting needles to pass strong twine through the layers of the mattress, from one side to the other.
Then, each tuft is carefully tied by hand, drawing the layers together and securing them in place.
This helps keep the cotton and other materials from shifting or bunching as the mattress is used, maintaining the integrity of its construction over time.
It's a time-consuming process, but an important part of how we make our mattresses.
And it's still done by hand, right here in our Oklahoma City workshop.
