Today, we stepped away from the usual day-to-day at Mosswood Studios for something a little different!
I had the opportunity to volunteer with the NKBA Oklahoma at Build My Future, an incredible hands-on event that introduces high school students to careers in the trades and shows them just how many opportunities exist beyond the traditional college path.
I spent the day helping students create their own design flat lays, experimenting with different materials, colors, textures, and finishes to bring their ideas to life. And let me tell you, some of these kids have a serious eye for design!
Between their creativity, thoughtful questions, and curiosity about what it takes to run a small business, I walked away feeling just as inspired as I hope they did.
There’s something pretty special about getting to share what you love with the next generation.
A huge thank you to the NKBA and Central Oklahoma HBA for making opportunities like this possible. Already looking forward to next year!
