I've felt a little distant from my social media account the last few weeks and I feel like this is the perfect time to connect with you all express my gratitude towards my client's, co-workers and friends.
A couple of months ago my dad got diagnosed with an advanced and aggressive cancer. My world and immediate families world got turned upside-down. It was extremely emptional and overwhelming. We went to so many appointments as we desperately tried to get him treatment and buy more time. Unfortunately, it was too advanced and the best we could do for his dignity was honor his final wishes and provide love and comfort at home. He passed away on May 16th.
My list of people to thank during this profoundly debilitating time is long, but I'm starting with my client's. They were all incredibly understanding, flexible and comforting. Not once did anyone make me feel bad for changing a meeting or appointment. They allowed my priorities to shift accordingly and be there for my parents on a daily basis. We laughed and cried together and shared memories and even sat in silence. I'm incredibly blessed to have the best and most caring client's ever.
Also, to the contractors and subs (including you, Jay). Thank you for your patience and kindness. And thank you for checking in, not only on deadlines and projects, but also my well-being. You all gently gave me space to breathe while keeping things moving along and on time.
Owning and operating a business is incredibly difficult on a regular day, but adding in sickness and loss can leave you floundering to complete even the smallest task. No amount of gratitude will ever be enough to thank those around me during this time. I'm confident I'm in the right career and have the best client's anyone could ever ask for! Thank you all, from the very bottom of my heart!
