High Country Lumber and Mulch, LLC High Country Lumber & Mulch, LLC. is our on-site sawmill which currently produces eighteen million board-feet annually of hardwood and industrial lumber.

The companion companies of North State Hardwoods, INC and High Country Lumber & Mulch, LLC are located in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains in North Carolina. This region is known for some of the finest hardwoods found in the world. At HCL&M and NSH, lumber is our core product. We pride ourselves in producing the highest quality, well-manufactured lumber our industry has to offer. We service the flooring, cabinet, furniture, and wholesale trade both domestically and globally. Our lumber goes through three inspection areas before it is double-end-trimmed prior to packaging for shipment. We have twenty-seven sorts to grade for either color or special widths. All lumber is end-painted and banded with 1 ¼” steel banding for domestic or export shipment. We are pleased to offer the following products: Logs, Lumber (Green & Kiln Dried), Chips, Sawdust, and Mulch

These can be found in the following species: Red Oak, White Oak, Poplar, Hickory, Ash, Walnut, Soft & Hard Maple, and Cherry
