There’s long been diversity of opinion about open offices. Some people find them distracting; others like how they encourage face-to-face interaction.

The coronavirus pandemic has ratcheted up concerns about open-plan workspaces. Many people will be anxious about working in close proximity to their colleagues after we return to the office.

Over the next few weeks, we’ll share some design ideas to help employers think through how they might change their workplaces post-pandemic. We offer solutions that prioritize employee wellness and are easy to incorporate into an existing space -- on a variety of budgets.

This week, we’ll focus on redesigning the workplace for social distancing.

Office Manager Job Duties:
• Maintains office services by organizing office operations and procedures;
controlling correspondence; designing filing systems; reviewing and approving
supply requisitions; assigning and monitoring clerical functions.
• Point person for maintenance, mailing, shipping, supplies, equipment, bills and
errands
• Partner with HR to maintain office policies as necessary
• Manage relationships with vendors, service providers and landlord, ensuring that
all items are invoiced and paid on time
• Provide general support to visitors
• Monitor and maintain office supplies inventory

Requirements:

• Proven office management, administrative or assistant experience
• Knowledge of office management responsibilities, systems and procedures
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Computer skills and knowledge of office software packages

Job Description:
• Deliver and build office cubicles
• Deliver office furniture / Desk, Credenzas, Conference Tables Etc.
• Make sure customer’s furniture orders are installed and assembled perfectly and
in an opportune fashion
• Reading drawings and laying out rooms accordingly
• Trouble shooting. Servicing furniture when there are issues.
• Professional appearance and able to effectively communicate with clients

Applicants Must:
• Furniture Installation experience: 5 years
• Be at least 21 years old
• Have current driver's license
• Have a clean driving record
• Have NO DUIs ever,
• Have no moving violations in last 7 years
• Ability to be D.O.T. certified with a good driving record and physically qualified to
drive by passing a D.O.T. physical
• Pass an extensive background check.
• Good knowledge of metro area
• Be able to lift at least 75lbs on a regular basis
• Be able to read a tape measure
• Be able to operate basic hand tools and screw guns
• Be willing to work overtime when needed
• Great Attitude, a willingness to learn and building our product to our standards.
