Why shop independent stores before big box stores?

1. Independent feed stores keep the big box feed stores honest. If all the independents surrounding a big box store counterpart disappeared tomorrow, do you think the big box store’s prices would stay the same?
2. Expertise. Independent feed stores generally have owners with knowledge of ranching and farm operations. They don’t have employees needing to ask AI what you need or what you are looking for.
3. Owner can make decisions immediately. There’s no corporate board to appease. Need it? We don’t have it? We can get it. Service. Period.

Look, I get the idea that bigger is better to some, but as with anything in life, bigger comes with a lot of extra challenges to the simplest things. Independents keep the big guys honest. If that weren’t true, a small city with one giant box store wouldn’t sell the same item at twice the cost as its store in the next city that’s surrounded by competitors.

A couple of jobs I completed today. One was super easy. The other one took a few hours.
Now this family can feel safe and secure while driving with a rebuilt front suspension and a set of new Falken all terrain tires. Give us a call, we’re more than just a feed store. There’s a lot of hay out there. Some seems like a good deal, but you can never judge a book by its cover so-to-speak. We hear it a lot, and we get it in this economy, but we also get the expense of the high stakes risk you take from what looks great on the outside at the great deal of 10.00 per bale. FB Marketplace, side of the road, the lady down the street all had great buys, but then you brought it home and cracked a bale open……..you find dusty mold or it seems fine but your animals say otherwise. You get on messenger. You are now blocked. You call. Straight to voicemail. You travel down the hill over an hour for no one to answer the door. You took your trailer on your day off, filled up your tank, completed 2.5 hours of driving for 52 bales of garbage. That cheap 10.00 per bale just became very expensive. A loss of 670.00 including fuel but not your lost day off or wear and tear on your vehicle….

We stay the course with consistency and quality. We save your time, your back, and ultimately situations like this. Plus, we love taking care of our mountain friends and animals, but if you do take the risk always crack a bale while on site.

Mondays are restock day! It’s been a busy one today. Cat food is back in. #1 alfalfa is 22.00. He’s got a #2 in at 17.00. Forage is still available at 16.00. Woohoo! I think we are ready for the last week of July!
