• M I L I T A R Y H I S T O R Y •

This may be one of my coolest finds yet. I didnt know why I was drawn to it until I found info about the label. (More on that below!)

This crate was issued in 1944 during World War II for Bendix Aviation Corporation, a major U.S. defense contractor that produced aircraft, naval, and military electrical equipment.

It housed a type of electrical device that was used by the U.S. Army to transmit angular position and coordinate movement between instruments. These devices were found in naval gun directors, radar systems, aircraft instrumentation & shipboard navigation equipment.

Now the cool part! My husband was in the U.S. Army. He served in two wars. He's now a U.S. defense contractor who works with electrical equipment. So I purchased this to gift to him for his bday today! 🎁

We had the pleasure of sponsoring holes at 2 different golf tournaments this past week. ⛳️

First, for Gowanda Love In the Name of Christ, who graciously allowed us to use their many clothes racks for our Prom Dress shop. 👗
And my husband's team took first place! 🏆

Then, for Springville Bombers, where my son plays travel ball. ⚾️ And where I'm now questioning if the Average Joes should actually be coaching kids 🤣 (jk!)

Well this was a first...

Someone reached out to me about the original piece I had for sale. This chest of drawer was the perfect size for her space. But she had too much of this color oak already and wanted to know if I could darken it with a black wash.
