I helped finish phase one of her upstairs remodel! ✅ I was tasked with creating an easy access to their new HVAC system, and adding bead board and trim work to the wall to help mask some of the unevenness of the walls in this older house. Her plan is to color drench the entire room, and create a small sitting area as well as desk space by the window. I can’t wait to see how the project looks once complete!

Tasting Tuesday #4:
This week’s Tasting Tuesday I’m back in Philly, finally trying Parc! I’ve been recommended this restaurant numerous times; always hearing about their bread, which I can now attest to how fresh and tasty it is. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Parc, particularly appreciating the French inspired touches throughout the interior design of the restaurant itself. Although service was a little slow, I didn’t have anywhere to be. Plus I was sat right at the window to people watch at Rittenhouse Square.

Tasting Tuesday #3:
I’ve dined at Tisha’s on the Washington Street Mall what feels like a million times, and I’ve never once had a bad meal! This time was no exception. I decided to opt for two of their nightly specials to start, and for my entree I went with my go to dish, the Filet Au Poivre. Of course we could not leave without having dessert, which is baked daily in house!

Every week I try to dine at a different restaurant, I’ve decided to start a new post series I’m calling “Tasting Tuesday” where I give you my full and honest review of each place I try! 🍸
Tasting Tuesday #1:
With all the hype around Alpen Rose, I went in with high expectations for my 8:45 bar reservation. This place has been on my must try list for months! While the dimly lit dining room and speakeasy atmosphere impressed, the food didn’t quite reach the level I anticipated. A good night overall, but unfortunately the social media buzz this restaurant attracted held my expectations a little too high.
