Graceful Interiors has business update to share.
Many of you have been with me since the very beginning (12 years ago)—when I was selling furniture/décor out of my garage studio and hosting Open Houses.
What started as a passion turned into something so much bigger than I ever imagined. In 2020 I joined The Rustic Fox family and for more than 5 years, being part of the shop has been such a special chapter for me. The inspiration from the store and fellow vendors took me to the next level…where instead of just painting furniture, I began to create my own furniture with the help of the “man.” The pictures of the time at the store really depicts my “style” evolution.
But as my full-time career at a software development company has gotten brutally busy, it’s become harder to give my space at the store the time and attention it truly deserves. And if you know me… I don’t like doing anything halfway and unfortunately “momma” still needs to pay the bills. 😬
So, before the end of May, I’ll be leaving my space at The Rustic Fox. When I gave my notice, one of the owners jokingly said it feels like a break up. The sadness I feel over the decision feels like it but after thinking about it… it’s more of a break.
If you’ve followed me over the last 12 years, you know one thing about me—I’m always evolving. And this is just another step in that journey. That doesn’t make it easy though. The Rustic Fox—and especially the people in it—have meant so much to me. The relationships I’ve built with other vendors, the conversations, the support… that’s what made this place feel like home. And I will still be helping other vendors in other aspects, so it’s not goodbye.
So while this chapter is coming to a close before the end of May, it’s really just creating space for what Graceful Interiors next chapter will be. I just need to get through the next 3 months of craziness at my Full Time job but I have ideas going through my head on what Graceful Interiors will hold in the future. I definitely will be going back to my roots—a couple Open Houses again from the garage studio. I have been also toying with the idea of having hands-on workshops…..potentially doing a “Make Your Own Tree Frame” or “How to Ruthify”--that is what many vendor’s had called my painting style. These are just ideas going through my head right now.
This business has always been about more than furniture for me—it’s been about creativity, connection, and all of you who have supported me along the way. I hope you all continue to follow the Graceful Interior’s page and be watching for what is in store next and also when I will be holding my Fall/Christmas Open House.
