A SEAT OF YOUR OWN. 🤎

Meet Haven Reserve by Fairfield Chair, a collection we’re particularly excited to showcase at Resource Room.

Your sofa. Your specifications. Your style.

From arm styles and silhouettes to fabrics, finishes, and the smallest details, Haven Reserve gives you the opportunity to create seating designed around your space, rather than settling for what’s already on the floor.

While we wait for an arrival our own, you can stop by to explore the collection, review pricing, browse fabric selections, and experience some of our existing Fairfield pieces in person.

But we want YOUR input on what comes next! Keep an eye on our Stories because we’ll be hosting a little This or That series, letting YOU help us decide what our next showroom piece could look like.

Connecting the classroom to the industry! 📚

Our Showroom Manager and Interior Designer, Mecalynn Wilson, was invited to speak with the Interior Design Club at Missouri State University!

During her visit, she shared insight into current design projects, the specification process, and why understanding the products you’re selecting is just as important as the final design itself.

One of the biggest takeaways? Specifications should drive your renderings, not the other way around.

From understanding textiles and materials to recognizing how products translate from manufacturer photography into real residential applications, these are skills that become increasingly important when working with clients.

Mecalynn also had the opportunity to tour the students’ design lab and explore their collection of donated textiles and materials used for sourcing and coursework.

Thank you to the Interior Design Club for the invitation! At Resource Room, we value opportunities to connect with emerging designers, share industry knowledge, and support design education.

We look forward to building more relationships with students and future industry professionals!

Details almost unnoticed. 🤍

The seams. The welts. The nailheads. The stitching. The finishing touches. The details you might not notice at first glance are often the ones that make a piece truly special. Beautiful furniture isn’t just about the silhouette. It’s about the craftsmanship, the thoughtful details, and the opportunity to make a piece your own.
