I have been called to share. I thought about starting a blog. But I don’t know anything about starting a blog. I wasted a few years already letting that be my excuse for not getting started. So here I am today, finally listening and obeying God. A pastor once said we are under siege daily. That day I thought that would be my blog title; daily siege. But then I realized I wasn’t sure how to spell siege. If I misspelled it, would others do the same and not find my page? But I can spell sage. Yes, sage the spice. It may not be “the” spice of life, but it is a spice in life. So, I’m calling this the Daily Sage.
And what is the Daily Sage? I want to share with you the ways God shows us his presence in the little things. I have been living with the misperception that walking in faith will mean we have big shoes to fill. I have felt like fulfilling my “purpose” in life will mean saving someone from a burning building (or some other monumental heroic act). I have found myself missing the little things God shows us daily. And then one day it was clear. Everyday God has something for us and most of it is in the little things.
I recently attended a women’s weekend bible conference (1st time away from my family, ever). What I took away is that I found myself in their shared life stories. Like the lady who talked about falling asleep while praying. Wow! I thought only I did that. Now I realize I’m not alone. I want everyone to realize you are not alone. And more importantly, God has a purpose in the little things. They only seem little to us.
