Things we love lately:
1. Realizing every beautiful space was someone's passion project. Someone cared enough about the aesthetics of their floor to find and embed pretty stones in perfectly fine cement. I appreciate it.
2. This chunky floor lamp.
3. The names given to this year's fleet of snowplows, as voted by Vermont schoolchildren 😀

Beautiful enough to steal the show, but perfectly happy to play second fiddle to your treasures, taste, and vignettes.

Recently we had a client ask for a piece that *wouldn’t* be another focal point, as they felt their space was already too disjointed and busy-looking. The great thing about Scandinavian-inspired pieces is their clean lines allow them to blend into the background, but they’re also beautiful enough to stand on their own. And since so many styles take inspiration from Scandinavian design, our pieces look right at home in rooms that are minimalist, maximalist, Mid-century-modern, eclectic, traditional, rustic, farmhouse . . . You get the idea.

Saturday Mood

The kids are waking up from their Halloween hangovers and we can already see the wind up for the next big celebration. Outside, the temperature once again matches the color of the leaves, and our morning walks kick up a cloud of autumn. The cat wonders why we bother going outdoors.

We want to get cozy. We're reevaluating our spaces with holiday entertaining in mind. Would our guests linger here? The cat surely would.
