We recently had the pleasure of celebrating a wonderful team member for his 32+ years with us! We are so thankful for all that Curt brought to our team, from his dedication and expertise to his jokes and easy smile. Though we will miss him, we are certainly happy for him and his next adventure in the upside down Vermont state! 😆You’ll be missed Curt! 💙

It was our pleasure to host the Rotary Club last week! Their genuine support and commitment to our community is inspiring and we were more than happy to share our story with this wonderful group.

Our club took a field trip to Built by Newport during the first meeting of the new year. We had a great turnout and were greeted by Owners Dave and Julie Laforce. We are looking forward to more field trips, more service and more opportunities to share with you in the year ahead!

The grinch did NOT steal Christmas at Built by Newport’s party this year, that’s for sure! In fact, he joined right in!🎄😅 Earlier this month, we celebrated the season as a team with years of service recognition, gifts, games, giveaways, and a wonderful meal. A heartfelt thank you to our team for choosing BBN as your place of work. We appreciate you more than words or parties can express. May you all have a very Merry Christmas and a safe vacation week! 🎄

Well deserved recognition and huge congratulations to Ben and the entire group of students who worked on this project! We are so grateful for the opportunities provided by Hazen and the entire faculty at North Country Career Center for students and the community. Well done! 💙🏆💙

NCCC students in the Engineering & Digital Fabrication program and instructor Hazen Converse were recognized on Wednesday, November 19 by the Vermont Chamber of Commerce for their creativity, innovation and production in 'The Coolest Thing made in Vermont by CTE students' contest . Mr. Converse and his students, working with Built by Newport, designed and built an automatic air blow-off system for their CNC machines. Students programmed an electronic valve to open every 15 seconds to burst air through a manifold which cleared shavings from under the CNC machine, automating a process that had previously been done manually. The students worked through this design process relying on teamwork, creativity, and a lot of revision and troubleshooting.

NCCC was one of five schools honored and on hand to accept the award was student Ben Warren. Congratulations and job well done!
