Wood turning has always lived in a separate category for me. I’ve never sold a bowl. I’ve never tried to, I don’t want to. I give them to people when they’re nice to me or for a lil surprise at the end of a job. It’s a meditative practice. I’m of corse always trying to get better but that’s never really the end goal. When I was asked to do a show of some of the work by the great Charles Mayer, I couldn’t say no. Here’s a collection of pieces I’ve made recently.
