Netflix “The Perfect Couple” coastal, bedroom set design - get the look!
Maybe it’s the designer in me, but I often get distracted admiring the interior set designs in movies and tv shows. I definitely have some that have stuck with me! Mike and Rachel’s apartment from “Suites”, the Spanish Mission style home from the 1961 Parent Trap, and Charle Savage’s apartment in “Only Murder’s in the Building” to name a a few!
One of my latest show binges was “The Perfect Couple” on Netflix and the set of the main house was a mixture of coastal elegance and charm. This bedroom was one I found especially charming with the mixing of patterns in the wallpaper and sheets and layered textures of wood, metal and textiles.
I thought it would be fun on occasion to play off of the series where you can shop your favorite looks of what characters wear on tv shows, but instead shop the looks for set designs starting with this one.

Feels good to brush off the dust and do a design project. I’m giddy over this outdoor project that is underway with a bigger, better covered deck to maximize as much living space as possible.

Here’s a little, sneak peek at the progress. They just finished painting the vaulted ceiling with the most perfect color to bring some depth and coziness to the space and I can’t stop staring at it! 😍 A little more painting to finish up and then the decking is going in next!

Nothing says welcome back to “the gram” than a refresh to a home entry way! Goodbye pile of coats and shoes when you walk in the door. Hello layers, pops of color, pattern and function!
Also, hello again! It’s been awhile, yet at the same time it feels like I blinked and 5 months flew by without me noticing! The last few months have been filled with fun trips, projects and living. I’m excited to get back to this inspiring and uplifting community and hopefully can help some more of you love where you dwell! ❤️

Colored trim anyone?! 🙋🏼‍♀️
I currently have 2 design opinions for trim; it should either be painted the same color as the walls (which you might as well paint the ceiling) or it should be a contrasting color however subtle you want to make it.
I’m personally obsessing over some of these bolder trim paint colors I’ve been seeing around the world of interiors and am itching to incorporate some that into a future design.

Since looking for countertops this week, I have been researching a lot of kitchens and while this isn’t the direction I am going for mine, I think this kitchen has so many beautiful elements that will be timeless. For instance, the different cabinet tones, the mixed metals and the soapstone countertops with the marble backsplash. 👈🏻 TAKE NOTE‼️

A look back at when I did a refresh for a therapy office. Based on the client’s style and what she already had, I went with a modern, glam feel.
We were on a tighter budget for this refresh so I opted for a lot of ready-to-assemble pieces. I got a reality check in how long it actually takes to put together many pieces of furniture 😅.

Sometimes our pain point within our homes is the need for functionality in a space.
Anyone else have a closet that has no storage or shelving which then equals an unorganized mess?? 🙋🏽‍♀️
I love getting to know how my clients use their spaces along with taking on the challenge of knowing the needs they have to help create a well designed space that is the most functional for them as possible.
