Want more skateparks in your local parks in NYC? The NYC parks department wants to know that. If you care and want to go to meetings where this sort of stuff is discussed you can go. If you are too busy to show up in person and just want to comment in an online forum to let them know you want skate elements in public parks you can do that too.
Check this link below and see if on of the many parks being redone is a park in your area. If it is get you and your locals involved to let them know that it would be nice to have some skate elements thought about in the redesign/construction of the park.

Skaters in NYC have to realize that if we have a voice in these meetings and online forums we could most likely get more parks like LES or even smaller "spots" around the city to skate when we are not enjoying the natural skatepark that NYC already is. Think about how most parks have dog runs. Ever wonder why? Those dog owners attend and comment at meetings/forums like this- and that is the exact reason.
Just some info.
