Featured in Inside Weddings, this botanical lakeside wedding at Cedar Lakes Lifestyle Estate proved to be the perfect getaway.

On a visit previous visit, Sloane“left that weekend saying I needed to get married there because I thought it was the most spectacular, magical place.” Three years later, their guests “got to enjoy the amazing grounds, pickleball, lake activities, and just relaxing, which was a very unique way to spend time leading up to the wedding,” describes Danny.

Sloane and Danny’s day came together with towering pines, a still lake, and soft woodland greenery, carried from the invitation suite by Ceci New York through to the celebration itself, beautifully planned by Victoria Dubin Events.

Our goal was to translate this wedding's uniquely verdant location: towering pines, a still lake, and soft woodland greenery, into an invitation suite guests would hold in their hands before ever setting foot on the property. Sloane and Danny chose a Ceci Collection invitation as the foundation for their suite, then worked with the design team on a series of custom enhancements to reflect their story and taste.

It’s one of the tiniest and most time-consuming details of the entire celebration, and still one of the most meaningful ones guests remember long after the flowers and cake are gone.

“We like to hide little love notes for each other in suitcases or around our home. As a way to bring our guests further into our love and show our appreciation for them, we handwrote each of our 300 guests a note, hidden under their salad plates. Seeing the revelation spread across the room was a treat.” - Amanda & Will, in Vogue

For Amanda Dubin Reeve and Will Reeve’s wedding, the couple handwrote a note to each of their 300 guests, continuing the modern vibe introduced by the Ceci New York invitation suite. Each handwritten note made every guest feel seen and let the couple think of each person, individually, on their big day.

Today is World Letter Writing Day, a good reminder to write to someone you love and let them know how much they mean to you.
