Here’s our own Erin Torres taking the time out for a power nap in our Neuron Activation Pod. As a busy mom of 6, stress is a big part of her life and taking the time to unwind and heal has become a priority for her.

“I have always been someone on the go. I have big ideas and I am always an optimist. When things start to unravel, I see that I need to calm down but the stress thermometer just keeps rising! My wellness has become a big priority so I can be the best mom, wife and professional. When I can speak without so much fire in my belly … I can see the big picture and I am at the top of my game. That’s how I want my family to see me! Enjoying the beauty of life, smiling and laughing at the funny moments. Not that other side that’s crazy mom!”

In a world where women are expected to wear many hats, the burden of stress weighs heavy. According to the American Psychological Association’s (APA) 2023 Stress in America survey, women continue to report higher stress levels than men. Yet, their cries for understanding and support often fall on deaf ears.

The pressures of juggling career, family, and personal responsibilities take a toll on women’s mental health. They face societal expectations, workplace challenges, and caregiving responsibilities, all while striving for success and recognition.

This International Women’s Month let’s amplify female voices and acknowledge their struggles. Women across North America are raising their hands, saying they’re stressed, misunderstood, and alone. The statistics speak volumes: women consistently express the need for more support, yet feel as though their stress is not truly understood.
