Mushrooms doing their job decomposing the wood chips this morning. We have been working with a local tree trimming company to rescue about 30 loads of wood chips from the dump. Adds organic matter to the soil to build a better soil for the plants.

Asian Pear tree has flowered and started to set fruit!

Mulberry tree is now fruiting like crazy. This deciduous tree started popping fruit about the same time it went thru bud break this spring. We had a last frost that killed off most of the first growth but as you can see, it has come back with a vengeance!

Climbing rosebushes are in full bloom here in the north valley.

We planted this bamboo last summer and have been waiting for some growth above ground. This Timber variety is known to grow over 30' tall and can become invasive. After fall season and a mild winter, we finally have new shoots coming up and they are sprouting with a vengeance. Tallest new growth is nearly three feet in about 10 days.
