This was the residence of Marc Morial, former Mayor of New Orleans from 1994-2002. The architecture of the house is typical of most New Orleans houses of the late 19th and early 20th century. It is a modified Arts and Crafts-style side Hall, complete with double parlors and beautiful wood pocket doors. The woodwork and mouldings in the interior are original to the house and are a wonderful example
of the craftmanship of the period. Around 1991 and 1992, almost 1000 square feet was added to the footprint of the house by Mayor Morial. an updated kitchen along with a great room and a new upstairs master bedroom was added. The house and the grounds are available for film,video and still photography location shooting. While Mayor morial was in office, the house was the scene for several political advertisement and lately (2012) the scene for a misic video by local band Meta the Man.
