So this might be a longer post. I found this table in the four chairs that go with it on the side of the road for free. It’s always awesome when you can find free furniture on the side of the road. I ended up stripping the table and found that there was a veneer underneath all of that nasty black paint And I kind of burned through the veneer in one spot and we were trying to figure out how could we disguise it so someone suggested that I try a pattern and sent me a inspiration picture of the table with the blue stain stripes. So I kind of found whatever stain I already had and we started to stain a pattern in the table. I also sanded prime painted the chairs and recovered the cushions. This ended up going in my daughter‘s house cause she needed a new furniture. It’s always satisfying to see the before and after pictures of these projects, cause you never know what’s underneath all the paint and part of the adventure is figuring out how the piece of furniture is gonna talk to you. These pieces were definitely a labor of love, but I think they turned out beautiful.

Found this in someone’s back yard just waiting for me. Cleaned it up, painted it and added a marble top.

The deconstruction has begun on the coffee bar, it’s old, very old, like it has square nails old. We’ve already replaced the back of the piece, the other one was severely warped. I started polishing the handles, that will be a project in itself. Repairs on a door required a good bit of wood glue and clamps. To b continued………

My last project for a client. I forgot to take good before pics but it turned out great, matched their other furniture. I matched the drawer pulls and lined the drawers.

So I started working on my own dresser, I tried a new technique, it came out good but not what I wanted for my room. So I’m stripping it and starting again. Sometimes a project doesn’t pan out like it looks in your head and that’s ok, it’s just paint and wood. You have to be willing to start over sometimes.
