🌷Kitchen Spring Cleaning🌷

🌷The Dishwasher
Take out the filter and soak in warm soapy water while you wipe down the inside of the dishwasher. Pay attention to the edges where food debris can easily hide.
Run a normal cycle with only 1 C distilled white vinegar. This helps to make the inside shine and it gets rid of smells.

🌷The microwave
Combine 2C water, 2 T vinegar & 2 T lemon juice or lemon slices. Microwave for 4-6 minutes. The steam from this loosens any hard to remove pieces from the inside. Remove the hot water and wipe clean!

🌷Spring Cleaning Part 2🌷

Use the all-purpose cleaner or warm soapy water to wipe the inside and outside of cabinets. If there is a vinegar smell from the all-purpose cleaner, the smell goes away when the cleaner dries.

🌷**Spring Cleaning Part 1**🌷
Prep your kitchen for a deep clean!

🌸Homemade All-purpose cleaner:
*Mix equal parts water & vinegar & add a few drops of Dawn soap
Vinegar can not be used on countertops because it is too harsh.

🌸Countertop Cleaner:
*1/3 C Rubbing Alcohol
1 C water
3 drops Dawn soap

🌸Homemade Furnish Polish:
1/4 C vinegar
1/2 C olive oil
10-15 drops essential oil of your choice
Shake well before use

An easy pork and sauerkraut recipe to ring in the new year:

1 (32 ounce) jar sauerkraut with juice
1 pound pork roast, cut into 1 inch cubes
½ (12 fluid ounce) can or bottle beer
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon onion salt
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 ½ teaspoons fresh dill w**d
½ medium apple, peeled and cored

Directions:
Stir undrained sauerkraut, pork cubes, beer, garlic, onion salt, dry mustard, and dill together in a slow cooker until well combined. Press apple half under other ingredients to submerge.

Cook on High for 1 hour. Reduce the heat to Low and continue cooking until pork is cooked through, about 5 more hours. Discard apple and serve.

It is with heavy hearts we share that our dad, Ben Kauffman, went home to be with the Lord yesterday. We are thankful that he is now in perfect health and in perfect peace and most of all that he is now with his Savior Jesus.
