Some pews just need to come home for a while. When Middle Octorara Presbyterian Church in Quarryville, PA reached out to us, their pews told a story decades in the making. Worn finishes. Scuffed surfaces. Broken components that made some pews unsafe to use. The sanctuary still had good bones, but the seating no longer reflected the care and intention this congregation brings to every service.
Rather than replace what could be saved, we got to work.
Our team came on-site, assessed every pew, and carefully disassembled each one. Back at our facility in New Holland, PA, our craftsmen restored each pew individually, replacing irreparable pew backs with new radius backs, repairing original components, sanding everything down, and refinishing the wood to a seamless, cohesive finish.
Then we brought them home. Every pew was returned and reinstalled, a worship space transformed, not by starting over, but by honoring what was already there.
This is what we call Creative Reuse. And it might be exactly what your pews need too. Visit www.newhollandwood.com to learn more!
