What Once Was Old Vintage is a small shop located in downtown New Braunfels, Texas that offers home decor, vintage + new, including repurposed, upcylcled vintage items. We also offer custom work and custom built furniture. The shop is also a Makery that sells the Fusion Mineral Paint line and will offer DIY workshops and learning opportunities to help you enhance your creative side. If you have a

John built this cabinet and finished it out. A long time ago, we had a customer renovating an old ranch house in . She ripped out an old built-in and we couldn’t bring ourselves to see it thrown away so we took it. The cabinet part of this piece has been upcycled into this beautiful new storage piece for your home. Use it under your tv, as a buffet, at your entry, there is a lot of places I can think of. All wood is old reclaimed wood including the long leaf pine the old built-in part was constructed with.

Message me for pricing and grab this piece, as we get back to our roots a little, before I decide to keep it. It looks great under this mirror wall!

It’s been a while y’all! We are well but we miss our What Once Was Old bunch! 🩷

Abby has her own small shop there that she just opened and will be having her second show there tomorrow at 2pm, see link to her show. She sells vintage and pre-owned clothes, shoes and other stuff. Happy birthday Abby! I’m so blessed that God made me your mom. I honestly can’t believe 21 years have gone by because it’s doesn’t feel like it. I am so proud of the woman you have become. I have this beautiful shelving unit for sale. Grab it up before I decide to keep it, Lord knows I don’t need another large piece in my small . I love the possibilities of what can fit on here. It’s time for holiday decorating, just imagine the ideas. Message me for pricing.

Speaking of holiday decorating & , I’ve been working on getting some of my Halloween out today. That comes with heavy cleaning so the house smells good and is clean!

Anybody need farm fresh eggs? 🥚

Our chickens eat soy free, non-gmo feed so these are the best. If you’re interested, $5/dozen, $8/18. These are great decor for your Easter table as they are already colored.

Y’all, tonight I’m asking for your prayers for my partner in crime 🩷. Suzan has been a huge part of mine and my families lives over the last five years +. She’s my picking buddy, biggest supporter, live sale queen and most importantly my most cherished friend. She’s been through so much with us. Please send up some prayers for her health so she knows how much we all love her. ❤️

Hello y’all! It’s been a while but I am in search of these for my Christmas decor. Anyone have one or two of these I may be able to purchase? I’d prefer them to be antique, not new. Also, if you’ve seen them at a local shop, I’d love to know that too. Thank you 😊

Happy Monday y’all! I wanted to share with you Suzan McDonald’s vintage booth inside the . Abby and I got to help her extend her booth a little bit and do a quick reset with her. If you haven’t stopped by the Downtown Antiques Mall (corner of San Antonio Street & Castell Avenue) in a while, swing in and check out the new and updated inventory! It’s really looking good. Suzan, as usual, always has such high quality, sought after goodies.
