I got the form cut out for my upcoming steam bend. I went a 1/4 steeper on the curve to account for spring back. Any experts want to weigh in if that is enough or too much? Original template for comparison.

These veneer panels wanted to fight me. But this game is called I win. Still have some details to sort out and get some finish on it. But we’re in the homestretch of this crib build.

Panels are veneered. Need a little touch ups and another trip through the vacuum bag.

leather working IS just like woodworking. The tools work great in both fields.

Veneers are tamed. Most of the components have been stained. Just some veneer panels and assembly left to get this wrapped up.

Instead of cutting individual mortises for these slats to fit in, I opted to glue in spacer blocks just under 2 inches apart. It’s slow and tedious to glue down around 70 of them, but a lot easier than chiseling that many mortises.

I need some ash veneer so I can fill the panels. But the headboard/ back is dry fit.
