One thing I've learned over the years is that many parents are told their child struggles with "executive functioning," but nobody really explains what that means.
Does your child lose homework, forget directions, struggle to get started, wait until the last minute on projects, or become overwhelmed by simple tasks? These can all be signs of executive functioning challenges.
I created this Executive Function Toolkit for Parents to break down these skills in plain language. Inside, I explain what executive functioning actually is, what it can look like at home and school, examples of supports and accommodations, questions parents should ask, and even a sample IEP focused on executive functioning needs.
My goal is simple: help parents better understand what they're seeing and feel more confident advocating for their child.
The Executive Function Toolkit is now available in my resource store.
