Anyone else have a supervisor who just rides their butt all day? I mean she comes down here and sits on her stoop (might as well be an ivory tower) with this look of disgust on her face and barks at me about tighter miters and cleaner mortises. I mean unfreakingbelievable.

Small Business Saturday! I’ve made a handful of these cool matchbooks for the candle lover or pyromaniac on your Christmas list. Crafted from solid pieces of white oak, hand sanded and oiled with Rubio Monocoat.

I get my strength from my dad sweatshirts. Forged in fire deep in the heart of China, they conjure up forces that allow me to join pieces of wood to other pieces of wood through raw strength and glue. They are my hair of Samson. And also like Samson, perhaps one day I shall have luggage named after me.

The pants are pretty good, too. Happy Thanksgiving!!!!

Logo time. I chose a hand plane and chisel because they are traditional woodworking tools that take much experience to master. As I continue to grow this business I want to keep learning traditional crafting methods with these tools and others. Table saws and routers are awesome, but there’s nothing like honing a blade by hand to a mirror polish and taking paper-thin shavings of a piece of Birdseye Maple.

Also my wife thought the chisel was a lamp with no shade....I would lean more towards a bottle of olive oil, but hey who’s counting 😂
