Day one of a complete flooring remodel begins with us moving all of the furniture into the garage, plastic-coating anything that needs to be done, and then we begin flooring demo and inspection to see where leveling has to be done.

Next, we removed the carpet & tile, leveled the flooring, installed the sound and moisture barriers, installed the vinyl, shoe molding, and put the furniture back in its original location

We’ll do a few small touch-ups tomorrow, but in two and a half days, this kitchen was finished

This subfloor was in rough shape and the rebar was visible through the concrete. We had chip away the loose concrete, level the subfloor, install Proflex 90, set the tile and then grout!
